Supported by the HYAB Funding Scheme for International Youth Exchange 2025-26, the AYP Germany Residential Project Programme 2025 was successfully concluded! During this 8 Days 7 Nights Residential Project programme, participants visited various historical landmarks in Germany, prominent Chinese Mainland enterprises, famous overseas corporations, and local cultural sites. This immersive experience allowed participants to deeply explore German culture, history, and advancements in science and technology. The Hong Kong Award for Young People Silver Award Presentation 2025 was successfully held at St. Catharine’s School for Girls on 21 May 2025. We were honoured to have The Hon. Mr. Chan Kwok Ki, GBS, IDSM, JP, Chief Secretary for Administration and our Guest of Honour, to officiate our presentation. Mr Joe Chow Yat Ming, PMSM, Commissioner of Police and Honorary Adviser of AYP, Mr. Andy Kwok Wing Leung, JP, Chairman of Award Council, Mr. Victor Pang Wing Seng, MH, Vice-Chairman of Award Council, Award Council Members and guests also came to witness the precious moments of our Awardees. During the ceremony, 2 Silver Award Recipients shared their Silver journey stories with the theme of “Trust the Process”. We also used a lot of photos from recipients taken during their Award Journey in our backdrop and booklet design to showcase their growth after their participation in the Award.

The Gold Award Presentation 2024 was successfully held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 9 December. We were honoured to have The Honourable John Lee Ka Chiu, GBM, SBS, PDSM, PMSM, Chief Executive of the HKSAR, to be our Guest of Honour. The event was attended by nearly 300 guests, including Mr. Siu Chak Yee, PDSM, PMSM, Commissioner of Police and Honorary Adviser, Mr. Clarence Leung Wang Ching, BBS, JP, Under Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs, Mr. Andy Kwok Wing Leung, JP, Chairman of Award Council, Mr. Victor Pang Wing Seng, MH, Vice-Chairman of Award Council, Award Council Members, and other guests for witnessing the wonderful moments of our awardees. This year, AYP has achieved a decade-high number of Gold Award recipients, with 75 young people. Two Gold Award recipients shared their stories of achieving the Gold Award during their secondary school years. They encouraged other recipients to set goals and take steps towards finding their own way of life and living the life they desire. Funded by the Dr. Irene Tang AYP International Exchange Fund, organised by AYP, “Dr. Irene Tang AYP Yunnan Residential Project Programme 2024” was held successfully on 17 August! Through a series of exploration and reflection, participants gained a comprehensive understanding of the history and culture of Yunnan. During the 6-Day-5-Night Residential Project Programme, participants visited two Ethnic Minority living place, the Bai and the Naxi, to experience their culture; also, they visited the Eastern and Western Pagodas, Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, and Yunnan Baiyao Group Co., Ltd. etc., to have a deeper understanding of the local tradition and business. Multiple unforgettable experiences have allowed participants to continually improve, becoming more mature and proactive.

AYP successfully organised overseas Adventurous Journey again after five years. Under the support of Dr. Irene Tang AYP International Exchange Programme Fund, Kwok Hing Kwan Chan Lai Wah Charitable Foundation Limited, Eikowada, Tunbow Charity Foundation Limited and INNOTIER, 22 participants got the chance to have their assessment journey in Croatia after completing Hong Kong’s training. Besides of appreciating the natural beauties in Croatia, our participants can understand more about the Belt and Road Initiative between Croatia and China.

AYP held Bronze Level Programme – BronzeGain from July 2023 to January 2024. This programme included the four section activities of Bronze Award Level, allowing participants to complete the Bronze Award at once. For Service Section, participants participated in volunteer activities such as second-hand recycling, beach cleaning, and teaching children to make craft; for Skills Section, there were two activities: bakery and ceramic-making provided to participants to choose the one that they were more interested in; for Adventurous Journey Section, most of them had their first taste of hiking and overnight camping, which allowed them to challenge themselves; last but not least, for the Physical Recreation Section, they participated in the orientation activities, so that they were qualified to participate in the “BOC Life Rogaine Charity Race 2024” after completion of the orientation training. Concurrently, the Bronze Award Presentation was held for the first time after the end of Rogaine Charity Race. They could celebrate the joyfulness of completing the Bronze Award with other participants, and continue to work hard towards the Silver Award!

The Gold Award Presentation 2023 was successfully held at Government House on 12 December 2023. We were honoured to have The Hon. John Lee Ka Chiu, GBM, SBS, PDSM, PMSM, Chief Executive of the HKSAR, to be our Guest of Honour and presented certificates to 35 Gold Award Recipients and 7 Ten Years Long Service Volunteers. Mr. Andy Kwok Wing Leung, JP, Chairman of Award Council, Mr. Victor Pang Wing Seng, MH, Vice-Chairman of Award Council, and Award Council Members witnessed the wonderful moments of our awardees. We showcased our commitment to environmental protection during the award-sharing section by presenting a Christmas tree made of plastic bottles collected from “GREEN@COMMUNITY”. This served as a meaningfulway to promote the message of environmental protection and bring a festive atmosphere to the event attendees. Two Gold Award Recipients shared their personal experiences, inspiring other recipients to apply the knowledges and skills gained from their Gold Award journeys, and together, continue to uphold the spirit and belief of AYP.
