Job recruitment for the position of Assistant Manager (ARSOII) – Youth Development, Camp Service (Ref. ARSOII/26/2)
The Hong Kong Award for Young People (AYP), formerly known as The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award was established in 1961 as a local registered non-profit organization. AYP is committed to providing a non-formal education platform for young people to explore their full potential and make positive changes.
Through training camp service, we provide the youth development programmes by providing outdoor training and experiential learning for young people to challenge themselves, discover their hidden abilities and gain a special sense of satisfaction and achievement.
We are now looking for a passionate candidate to fill up the post of Assistant Manager (ARSOII) – Youth Development, Camp Service.
Duties:
- To assist the Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Camp Manager in the operation of the camp
- To lead and manage the operation teams and deliver the utmost positive experience for the campers
- To keep abreast of the market trends in facility and equipment management
- To supervise and manage the full-time and part-time staff to ensure the best efficiency and performance
- To supervise the facility and booking team to facilities management and camp booking
- To liaise and cooperate with the stakeholders
- Program Leading may be required
- Shift and overnight duties required
Requirements:
- (i) A full-time teacher’s certificate with physical education as one of the subjects, or equivalent; or
- (ii)A post-secondary qualification in management of recreation and sports from one of the following, or equivalent
- Accredited Associate Degree from a Hong Kong tertiary institution; or
- Higher Diploma from a Hong Kong polytechnic/polytechnic university or Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education;
- Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent
- Possess relevant high and low event Challenge Course Technical Certificates are preferred
- Experience in leading and organizing youth and children training activities will be an advantage.
- Preference will be given to candidates with relevant experience and knowledge in Camp Management and Facilities Management
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and as a team
- Eager to work with young people in a non-profit setting
- 44 shift hours per week
- Candidates may be required to work on Saturday, Sundays or Public Holidays
