“The Fly High Together Charity Sports Programme – City Fitness Challenge+” The Fly High Together Charity Sports Programme, fully sponsored and supported by Tencent Charity Foundation and Gaw Capital’s People’s Place, aims to promote sports development and use sports to brighten the life paths of youth, injecting positive energy into society AYP is truly honoured to be one of the beneficiary organisations, launching the “The Fly High Together Charity Sports Programme – City Fitness Challenge+” Hybrid Fitness Youth Promotion Programme. The programme will use hybrid fitness as a medium, starting with schools as the foundation and gradually expanding to the community level, promoting hybrid fitness sports to young people, and organising cooperative hybrid fitness competitions in teams of four, thereby fostering a sense of teamwork among youth, enhancing resilience and positive thinking, and encouraging them to push their limits💪🏻 As the first phase of the activity, we will begin with a school-based approach, with HYROX officially certified coaches visiting schools to hold HYROX365 Experience Days, allowing students to try out 8 hybrid fitness events on campus. Participating schools may also recommend students to join regular HYROX365 training sessions at the 24-hour gyms under EFX24 Group, the consultant for this activity….
AYP has consistently strived to provide participants with diverse exchange opportunities. This year, with the support of the 2026-27 HYAB Funding Scheme for Youth Exchange in the Mainland, AYP will host the “AYP Beijing Residential Project Programme 2026” from July 29 to August 2, 2026. During the 5-Day-4-Night programme, participants will visit historic buildings and architectural works blending with contemporary art, as well as government agencies and the Patriotism Education Base for Hong Kong and Macao Youth. They will learn about China’s rich historical heritage and achievements of urban development through the lens of art of architecture, deepening their understanding of national development plans. Award Operating Authority (AOA) and School Operating Authorities (SOA) will host the Silver Level Adventurous Journey Instructor Training Course from June to September this year. The course aims to teach instructional skills for the Adventurous Journey Section and cultivate more hiking instructors. This will support hiking training for Bronze and Silver Adventurous Journey Sections and assist the Award Scheme in developing young people. Award recipients are welcome to become instructors to continue their Award journey. We also welcome anyone interested in youth development to register. “Full-Fun National Education Pioneer Programme (2026-27)” Organized by The Hong Kong Award for Young People (HKAYP) The AYP is proud to launch the brand-new “Full-Fun National Education Pioneer Programme”, designed to extend values education beyond the classroom and into the great outdoors. Hosted at the AYP Jockey Club Duke of Edinburgh Training Camp in Tai Po, this program utilizes experiential learning to help youths build positive values and a solid foundation of identity. HYAB Funding Scheme for Youth Adventure Training Activities (2025-27) Adventure Discovery Under the “HYAB Funding Scheme for Youth Adventure Training Activities (2025-27)” funded by the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau and the Youth Development Commission, the Hong Kong Award for Young People is launching the “Adventure Discovery” programme and it is now open for application. The programme includes diverse elements such as adventure training, emerging sports, environmental protection, innovative technology, volunteer service and etc. Programme objectives: In line with the “Youth Development Blueprint,” the programme targets to provide adventure training activities of quality and scale for young people in a structured manner. Through taking part in adventure training and a series of experiential activities under the progressive guidance and involvement of instructors, the programme aims to improve young people’s physical and mental well-being, and foster their positive thinking, resilience, sense of discipline and team spirit. Supported by the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau, the Youth Development Commission, and The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, The Hong Kong Award for Young People will organise the three-year HYAB JC Scheme for Youth Life Planning (2025–28) – Career Tailor from 1 September 2025 to 31 August 2028. Background: At the end of 2022, the Government launched the Youth Development Blueprint, which outlined the overall vision and guiding principles for its long-term youth development efforts. The Blueprint emphasises the importance of encouraging young people to explore their potential and develop their talents to prepare for future pursuits in society. To strengthen support for youth in unlocking their potential, the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau and the Youth Development Commission have jointly launched the enhanced HYAB JC Scheme for Youth Life Planning. This initiative aims to assist secondary school students in realising their life planning goals and seizing opportunities presented by national development. The Youth Uniformed Group Fun Day was successfully held on 12 July 2026. We were truly honoured to welcome Mr. Tang Ping Keung, GBS, PDSM, JP, Secretary for Security, Mr. Joe Chow Yat Ming, PDSM, PMSM, Commissioner of Police, Mr. Benson Kwok Joon Fung, IDSM, Director of Immigration, Mr. Andy Kwok Wing Leung, BBS, JP, Chairman of Award Council and Mr. Victor Pang Wing Seng, MH, JP, Vice-Chairman of Award Council, together with the heads and representatives of other disciplined services and auxiliary forces, to the AYP Jockey Club Duke of Edinburgh Training Camp. During the event, our guests had the chance to interact closely with the youth participants and offer their encouragement! Participants from the eight disciplined services and auxiliary forces, alongside AYP, were divided into nine teams for the day. They took on rope-course challenges, orienteering missions, and even made their own steamed rice pudding (Put Chai Ko) from scratch, all while making new friends through teamwork and laughter. With National Security elements woven into each activity, everyone picked up key knowledge across different aspects of National Security. The event successfully combined fun and education, making it a truly rewarding and unforgettable learning journey.
Jointly hosted by AYP and The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, the three-day “The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Asia-Pacific Regional Conference 2026” concluded successfully from 10 to 12 June! AYP was honoured to have Ms. Alice Mak Mei Kuen, SBS, JP, Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs, as our Guest Speaker. Together with Mr. Andy Kwok Wing Leung, BBS, JP, Chairman of the Award Council, Mr. Victor Pang Wing Seng, MH, JP, Vice-Chairman of the Award Council, and esteemed Committee Chairmen and Members, the event brought together delegates and youth leaders from various countries and territories across the Asia-Pacific region. Through meaningful exchanges, they explored growth opportunities for the next generation, generating strong momentum for youth development.
The Hong Kong Award for Young People (AYP) Silver Award Presentation Ceremony 2026 was successfully held on 7 May at Pui Ching Middle School. A total of 428 Silver Award recipients this year marks an eleven-year high, which is truly encouraging. The ceremony was honoured to have Mr. Chan Kwok-ki, GBS, IDSM, JP, Chief Secretary for Administration, as our Guest of Honour, together with Mr. Andy Kwok Wing Leung, BBS, JP, Chairman of Award Council, Mr. Victor Pang Wing Seng, MH, JP, Vice-Chairman, and other distinguished guests, who witnessed and celebrated the outstanding achievements of our Award recipients. At the ceremony, Silver Award Recipients Wu Sze Kwan, together with students from Pui Ching Middle School, delivered an impassioned and courageous a cappella performance. Entitled “Ride the wave. Find your pace!”, the performance echoed the theme of the ceremony, showcasing the boundless potential of young people as they navigate challenges and break through at their own pace.
AYP held the Spring Reception 2026 today at The Cityview. We were very honoured to invite Miss MAK Mei Kuen, Alice, SBS, JP, Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs, to be our Guest of Honour once again. Mr. Andy KWOK Wing Leung, BBS, JP, Chairman of Award Council, Mr. Victor PANG Wing Seng, MH, JP, Vice-Chairman of Award Council and Dr. Philip MA Ching Yeung, BBS, Honorary Treasurer of Award Council also shared the joy of Chinese New Year with around 200 guests and AYP supporters. This year also marks the AYP 65th Anniversary. To celebrate this double happiness, the venue was specially decorated with a peach theme, symbolising joy and fulfilment. We also invited students from Ying Wa College to perform a Chinese drum show. Their powerful beats brought vibrant energy to AYP 65th Anniversary! Thank you everyone for your continued support. Supported by the HYAB Funding Scheme for Youth Exchange in the Mainland, the AYP Huizhou Innovation, Technology and Industry Exploration Tour was successfully concluded. During this 2-Day-1-Night programme, 50 participants visited several leading enterprises, government agencies, and local cultural sites. Participants gained valuable insights into the strengths, key success factors, and latest trends of Huizhou’s industrial sector. This experience also broadened their perspectives and further strengthened interregional exchanges.

As a highlight event of the 2025 youthfest@HK and the inaugural event celebrating AYP’s 65th anniversary, the Challenge attracted over 1,500 participants, including challengers, volunteers, family members and friends across the age from 6 to 75, all joining hands for a meaningful cause. The Gold Award Presentation 2025 was successfully held at the Hong Kong Palace Museum on 22 January. We were honoured to have The Honourable John Lee Ka Chiu, GBM, SBS, PDSM, PMSM, Chief Executive of the HKSAR, to be our Guest of Honour and recognise the diligence of Gold Awardees and 10 years‘ Long Service Volunteers! To celebrate AYP’s 65th Anniversary next year, the Award Office organised the “Gold Level Hiking and Canoeing Adventurous Journey Training Course” in June 2025. After months of hiking and canoe training, the participants successfully completed the four-day, three-night assessment journey from 11 to 14 October. The first two days involved a hiking expedition in Hong Kong, followed by two days of canoeing in Shenzhen’s Daya Bay. On the first morning, a set-off ceremony was held at HKAYP Jockey Club Duke of Edinburgh Training Camp. We were honoured to have Mr. Victor Pang Wing Seng, MH, JP, Vice-Chairman of the Award Council as the Guest of Honour, together with other Award Council members, representatives from the Mainland guiding unit and representatives from various Operating Authorities and User Units attended to cheer on the participants. As the starting horn sounded, the participants set off on their journey. They began with initial nerves, but finished by completing the assessment with confidence and enjoyment.
Supported by the HYAB Funding Scheme for International Youth Exchange 2025-26, the AYP Germany Residential Project Programme 2025 was successfully concluded! During this 8 Days 7 Nights Residential Project programme, participants visited various historical landmarks in Germany, prominent Chinese Mainland enterprises, famous overseas corporations, and local cultural sites. This immersive experience allowed participants to deeply explore German culture, history, and advancements in science and technology.
