HYAB Funding Scheme for Youth Adventure Training Activities (2023-25) Adventure Discovery   Under the “HYAB Funding Scheme for Youth Adventure Training Activities (2025-27)” funded by the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau and the Youth Development Commission, the Hong Kong Award for Young People is launching the “Adventure Discovery” programme and it is now open for application. The programme includes diverse elements such as adventure training, emerging sports, environmental protection, innovative technology, volunteer service and etc. Programme objectives: In line with the “Youth Development Blueprint,” the programme targets to provide adventure training activities of quality and scale for young people in a structured manner. Through taking part in adventure training and a series of experiential activities under the progressive guidance and involvement of instructors, the programme aims to improve young people’s physical and mental well-being, and foster their positive thinking, resilience, sense of discipline and team spirit. HYAB JC Scheme for Youth Life Planning (2025–28) – Career Tailor

Supported by the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau, the Youth Development Commission, and The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, The Hong Kong Award for Young People will organise the three-year HYAB JC Scheme for Youth Life Planning (2025–28) – Career Tailor from 1 September 2025 to 31 August 2028. Background: At the end of 2022, the Government launched the Youth Development Blueprint, which outlined the overall vision and guiding principles for its long-term youth development efforts. The Blueprint emphasises the importance of encouraging young people to explore their potential and develop their talents to prepare for future pursuits in society. To strengthen support for youth in unlocking their potential, the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau and the Youth Development Commission have jointly launched the enhanced HYAB JC Scheme for Youth Life Planning. This initiative aims to assist secondary school students in realising their life planning goals and seizing opportunities presented by national development. Gold Level Canoe Challenge Journey – “Journey Companion” Recruitment

The Hong Kong Award for Young People(AYP) is committed to providing young people with a variety of Adventurous Journey Courses to encourage them to explore new experiences and challenge themselves. To celebrate the 65th anniversary of AYP next year, the Headquarters has launched the “Gold Level Hiking x Canoeing Adventurous Journey Training Course 2025/26” in June 2025, marking the first time that combining journey modes of hiking and canoeing. 24 Gold level participants will travel across the Greater Bay Area cities – Hong Kong and Shenzhen to complete their Assessment Journey after several months of hiking and canoeing training in Hong Kong. Participants will undergo a Canoe Journey in Shenzhen waters on the first two days of Assessment Journey. International Gold Event and Forum 2025

The International Gold Event (IGE) is a transformative personal development opportunity designed to empower the next generation of Award ambassadors. Participants will engage in an intensive learning programme focused on influencing change, impactful communication, and driving strategic development at national and global levels. They will gain the skills and confidence to advocate for the Award, champion non-formal education, and lead initiatives on the issues that matter most to them and their peers. Uniquely, IGE 2025 participants will also attend Forum, allowing them to apply their learning in real-time discussions and contribute directly to shaping the future of the Award. Gold Level Hiking and Canoeing Adventurous Journey Training Course 2025/26 (Chinese Only)

The Hong Kong Award for Young People (AYP) Headquarters is committed to providing young people with a variety of Adventurous Journey Courses to encourage them to explore new experiences and challenge themselves. To celebrate the 65th anniversary of AYP next year, the Headquarters will launch the “Gold Level Hiking x Canoeing Adventurous Journey Training Course 2025/26” in June 2025, marking the first time that combining journey modes of hiking and canoeing. After completing basic hiking and canoeing training in Hong Kong, participants will then travel across Hong Kong and cities in the Greater Bay Area on the mainland, together with more than 40 volunteers and previous award recipients – representing the past, present and future. AYP also hopes that participants can learn more about the coastal environment and scenery of the Greater Bay Area cities in the Mainland, grow through interacting and communicating with others, and achieve self-improvement and giving back to society. BOC Life Rogaine Charity Race 2024 (28/1/2024)

The annual orienteering charity event “BOC Life Rogaine Charity Race 2024” was successfully held on 28 January 2024. This year, the race and the carnival saw over 1,200 participants, with approximately 60% being young people under the age of 30. We were honoured to have Mr. Clarence Leung Wang Ching, BBS, JP, Under Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs, as the guest of honour, along with the Award Council and other guests to attend the opening ceremony. We hope to encourage all participants, especially young people, to foster a positive and confident outlook by applying the problem-solving skills and never-give-up spirit learned during the race to their daily lives. In the after-race carnival, AYP arranged over 20 booths and workshops. 11 performance groups, including Beanies, our event ambassador, and different youth groups performed their talents on stage; and various meals available for the participants to replenish their energy, such as Lam Tsuen Rice Cake.
