AYP has consistently strived to provide participants with diverse international exchange opportunities. This year, with the support of the 2025-26 HYAB Funding Scheme for Youth Exchange in the Mainland, AYP will host the “AYP Huizhou Innovation, Technology and Industry Exploration Tour 2026” from January 30 to 31, 2026. During the 2-Day-1-Night programme, participants will have the opportunity to learn about the strengths and success factors of Huizhou’s industrial sector, with visits to leading enterprises, government agencies, and the Dongjiang Water Resources Education Centre. (The programme will be conducted in Cantonese Only). AYP Gold Level Hiking Adventurous Journey Training Course(Hiking) 2025/26 – “Let’s Gold UK” AYP has consistently strived to provide participants with diverse Adventurous Journey Training Courses, encouraging young people to embrace challenges and pursue breakthroughs in Adventurous Journey. This year, to celebrate the 65th anniversary of The Hong Kong Award for Young People, the Award Office will organize the Gold Level Hiking Adventurous Journey Training Course (Hiking) 2025/26 – “Let’s Gold UK.” Participants will complete their assessment journey in the United Kingdom after training in Hong Kong. They will have the opportunity to explore the birthplace of the Award Scheme and appreciate the nature of the United Kingdom. HYAB Funding Scheme for Youth Adventure Training Activities (2025-27) Adventure Discovery Under the “HYAB Funding Scheme for Youth Adventure Training Activities (2025-27)” funded by the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau and the Youth Development Commission, the Hong Kong Award for Young People is launching the “Adventure Discovery” programme and it is now open for application. The programme includes diverse elements such as adventure training, emerging sports, environmental protection, innovative technology, volunteer service and etc. Programme objectives: In line with the “Youth Development Blueprint,” the programme targets to provide adventure training activities of quality and scale for young people in a structured manner. Through taking part in adventure training and a series of experiential activities under the progressive guidance and involvement of instructors, the programme aims to improve young people’s physical and mental well-being, and foster their positive thinking, resilience, sense of discipline and team spirit. Supported by the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau, the Youth Development Commission, and The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, The Hong Kong Award for Young People will organise the three-year HYAB JC Scheme for Youth Life Planning (2025–28) – Career Tailor from 1 September 2025 to 31 August 2028. Background: At the end of 2022, the Government launched the Youth Development Blueprint, which outlined the overall vision and guiding principles for its long-term youth development efforts. The Blueprint emphasises the importance of encouraging young people to explore their potential and develop their talents to prepare for future pursuits in society. To strengthen support for youth in unlocking their potential, the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau and the Youth Development Commission have jointly launched the enhanced HYAB JC Scheme for Youth Life Planning. This initiative aims to assist secondary school students in realising their life planning goals and seizing opportunities presented by national development. The International Gold Event (IGE) is a transformative personal development opportunity designed to empower the next generation of Award ambassadors. Participants will engage in an intensive learning programme focused on influencing change, impactful communication, and driving strategic development at national and global levels. They will gain the skills and confidence to advocate for the Award, champion non-formal education, and lead initiatives on the issues that matter most to them and their peers. Uniquely, IGE 2025 participants will also attend Forum, allowing them to apply their learning in real-time discussions and contribute directly to shaping the future of the Award. AYP in ACTION’ was successfully held on 10 March 2019 in Mui Woo. Despite the undesirable weather conditions, participants and volunteers made it through with strong team spirit! There are 20 teams with about 100 participants taking part in the competition. Special thanks must be given to our Organizing Group from Award Network who supported the event.
Three sessions of FUNday were done smoothly! Although the participating Members were all first timers to try out hammock workout and carry out inversions, they could complete all sets of poses with ease.
‘AYP in ACTION’ was successfully held on 12 November 2017 in Sai Kung. Despite the undesirable weather conditions, participants and volunteers made it through with strong team spirit! There are 25 teams with 125 participants taking part in the competition. Special thanks must be given to our Organizing Group from Award Network who supported the event.

14 November 2012 Delegates from The International Award for Young People – Korea visited the Award Office in Hong Kong on 14 November 2012, and received warm welcome by Award Network members. 16-20 August 2012 Represented by Jeanne Cheng, Convenor of the Core Group, and Elkin Lee, Member of the Core Group, the Award Network on behalf of The Hong Kong Award for Young People participated in the Global Award Holders Network (GAHN) Leadership Capacity Building Workshop in Singapore on 16-20 August 2012 which was co-organised by the International Award Association and National Youth Achievement Award Council of Singapore. The occasion was attended by 25 young Award Leaders representing the four regions – Africa, Americas, Asia Pacific and EMAS Europe, Mediterranean & Arab States) Regions – with an aim to provide a platform for interaction and exchange of ideas by young people to lay down the foundation for the establishment of GAHN. At the Workshop, Jeanne and Elkin gave a presentation on the Award Network in Hong Kong andsh ared our experience in founding a local network for the Award Holders as well as promoting and facilitating continued involvement in the Award. They considered participating in the Workshop useful and fruitful, which gave inspiring ideas and new insights in running the Award Network in Hong Kong and also a valuable opportunity to promote the Award Network at international level.
