Organised by The Hong Kong Award for Young People (AYP) and title sponsored by the BOC Group Life Assurance Company Limited, the “BOC Life Wild in the City Orienteering Challenge 2026 | AYP 65th Anniversary Proudly Presents,” together with the “Nostalgic Kowloon” Carnival, concluded successfully on 25 January 2026.
As a highlight event of the 2025 youthfest@HK and the inaugural event celebrating AYP’s 65th anniversary, the Challenge attracted over 1,500 participants, including challengers, volunteers, family members and friends across the age from 6 to 75, all joining hands for a meaningful cause. We were honoured to have Ms. Alice Mak, SBS, JP, Secretary for Home Affairs and Youth Affairs; Mr. Kwok Wing Leung, BBS, JP, Chairman of the Award Council; Mr. Wilson Tang, Chief Executive of BOC Life; and Ms. Grace Yu, MH, Chairman of 65th Anniversary Celebration Organising Committee of AYP, to officiate at the lighting and starting gun ceremony, marking the exciting commencement of the AYP 65th anniversary celebrations.

This year’s event was held in Kowloon for the first time, guiding participants through Wong Tai Sin, Sham Shui Po, and Kowloon City District. Through orienteering, participants explored the community’s history, culture, and natural landscapes, such as the Hau Wong Temple, the Ex-Sham Shui Po Service Reservoir, and the Sung Wong Toi, experiencing the charm of “Tourism is Everywhere in Hong Kong”, thereby strengthening young people’s sense of belonging and cohesion within the community.

Additionally, the “Nostalgic Kowloon” Carnival featured almost 20 interactive booths and 10 exciting performances, including face-changing performances, martial arts, jump rope tricks, and band shows, complemented by vintage decorations and photo spots. The day also included a lucky draw with prizes totalling over HKD 80,000, such as tablet. Event ambassador Teddy Fan made a special appearance to cheer on participants and engage with the audience through fantastic performances, elevating the event’s atmosphere to new heights.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all partners, volunteers, and participants for their wholehearted support, which contributed to the smooth execution of the event. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with all sectors in the future, working together to create infinite possibilities for young people.
