25 October 2014 The first dessert class of Award Network is successfully held on 25 October 2014. 15 participants learnt to make green tea lava cake and chocolate truffle and enjoyed the first bite of the freshly baked desserts. Not all people succeeded at the first attempt when they made the molten cakes. Instructor shared that it always takes several times of trial before grabbing the right control of time and temperature. Success always starts with failure. Participants not only gain practical cookery knowledge, but also learnt to persevere when encountering failure. 27 September 2014 A group of Award Network members overcame the fear of heights together and challenged the high rope event successfully. Overwhelming with the enjoyment of flying and floating, each and every one of them dove down confidently from a fifteen-meter altitude and completed the challenge of zipline perfectly at the end of the day. 18 December 2013 Gold Award Presentation 2013 – Celebration Dinner was successfully held on 18 December 2013 with the theme “Go beyond Gold”. In this delightful evening, guests were brought together to witness recipients’ personal growth during their pursuit of Award and share their ambition to impact other young people and the society. Guests participated enthusiastically in games and enjoyed a drama prepared by the Award Network. Receiving the Gold Awards and Certificates of Recognition marks a turning point for of the Award journey for our participants and volunteers. May we here wish our Gold Award recipients and recipients of Certificate of Recognition, enjoy their After Gold life with close engagement with AYP family. 1 December 2013 With planning and preparation for almost half a year, involving more than 50 Organising Group members and volunteers from AY P and the Award Network, the “More than a Sandcastle” FUNday was successfully held on 1 December 2013 in Shek O Beach under the bright sunshine. This is the first larged-scaled event of the Award Network since its establishment two years ago. The event was joined by more than 300 participants of different ages, in the combination of families, friends, and big and small organisations. All of them bore the same goals – joining forces, working together and piling dream sandcastles with hearts. They were all happy to beat the challenge and to share the FUN and fruits of team work. At the end of the FUNday, everybody enjoyed the sense of achievement and excitement by looking at different sandcastles sitting on the beach with their own characteristics and creativity. The smooth conduct of the “More than a Sandcastle” FUNday is attributable to the time, energy and efforts of the Organising Group, volunteers from AYP family, as well as the Castles Can Fly™ and its professional crew to bring us a remarkable and pleasant day with FUN….

27 October, 10 & 23 November 2013 To support “More than a Sandcastle” FUNday held on 1 December 2013, and to provide interesting and meaningful training opportunities for Award Network members, the Award Network particularly invited Castles Can Fly ™ to offer “Castles Can Fly ™ x AYP Leadership Training” in October and November 2013. All participants in the training not only have learnt to build sandcastles, but have experiencedthe skills of leading group activities as well as the power and fruitful outcome of team work. All members who have completed the training have provided strong support to the “More than a Sandcastle” FUNday by using the skills and knowledge that they have acquired. 13 October 2013 Award Network cycling track covered Yuen Long and Nam Sang Wai now! Cycling FUNday was successfully held on 13 Ocotober 2013. 30 participants started their journey from Yuen Long, via Nam Sang Wai with sharing from the gold award holders who completed ‘Green New Zealand Cycling Challenge’, then to King Fai Farm for a beautiful scenery. 28 August 2013 Photography FUNday was successfully held on 24 August 2013. Although the weather was unstable, all participants practiced what they had learnt at Pak Nai and Nam Sang Wai. 27 April 2013 Award Network cycling track covered also the northern part of Lantau Island now! Cycling FUNday was successfully held on 27 April 2013. 40 participants started their journey from Sunny Bay, via Inspiration Lake with some mini games there, then to Tung Chung pier and went all the way to the airport runway for a beautiful scenery. 31 January 2013 Gold Award Presentation 2012 – Celebration Dinner was successfully held on 31 January 2013 with the theme ‘A Night with our Stars’. In this splendid night, guests are invited to share the recipients’ inspiring stories and touching moments, and to further support their dreams for the future. Apart from that, a mini photo contest – ‘Star Photos’ was held and all guests had great fun. Receiving the Gold Awards and Certificates of Recognition indicates another brilliant start for our participants and volunteers for contribution to our society. May we here wish our Stars, Gold Award recipients and recipients of Certificate of Recognition, continue to SHINE with AYP spirit. 29-30 December 2012 AYP Family Wild Camp was successfully held on 29 and 30 December 2012. Although it was very cold with some rain, participants have great fun at Rotary Club Campsite, Tai Mo Shan Country Park. Families and friends get together setting tents, enjoying Big Bowl Feast and hiking, leting kids get the taste of wild camping as well as to bring Award holders and volunteers connected with the Award family!
