Job recruitment for the position of Officer – Youth Development (Water Sports) (Ref. O(YDEC)/24/2)
The Hong Kong Award for Young People (AYP) is a local non-profit organization that was established in 1961. It was formerly known as The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and is a licensed member of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, which operates in over 130 countries and territories. AYP aims to provide a non-formal education platform for young people to explore their full potential, discover their purpose and passion, and find their place in the community.

Job Duties:
- Lead and coach adventure training or water sports activities
- Plan and organize camp services and programmes
- Maintain and monitor project schedules and plans with internal and external parties
- Monitor various projects to achieve KPIs
- Promote and raise awareness of the Award
- Prepare reports and provide administration support
- Logistics arrangement for programmes and events
- Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements:
- Possess a recognized university degree or above in any disciplines.
- Level 2 or Grade E or above in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent.
- Certificate of First Aid and Sports Coaching or Water Sports Coaching.
- At least one-year experience in program leading.
- Experience in leading and organizing youth and children training activities will be an advantage.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese.
- Self-motivated, strong organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Able to work independently and as a team.
- Eager to work with young people in a non-profit setting.
- 44 hours per week.
- Shift and overnight duty required, candidates may be required to work on Saturdays, Sundays or Public Holidays.
