Job recruitment for the position of Officer – Youth Development (Water Sports) (Ref. O(YDEC)/24/2)

The Hong Kong Award for Young People (AYP) is a local non-profit organization that was established in 1961. It was formerly known as The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and is a licensed member of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, which operates in over 130 countries and territories. AYP aims to provide a non-formal education platform for young people to explore their full potential, discover their purpose and passion, and find their place in the community.

We invite creative and energetic candidate to join AYP family:

Job Duties:

  • Lead and coach adventure training or water sports activities
  • Plan and organize camp services and programmes
  • Maintain and monitor project schedules and plans with internal and external parties
  • Monitor various projects to achieve KPIs
  • Promote and raise awareness of the Award
  • Prepare reports and provide administration support
  • Logistics arrangement for programmes and events
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements:

  • Possess a recognized university degree or above in any disciplines.
  • Level 2 or Grade E or above in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent.
  • Certificate of First Aid and Sports Coaching or Water Sports Coaching.
  • At least one-year experience in program leading.
  • Experience in leading and organizing youth and children training activities will be an advantage.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese.
  • Self-motivated, strong organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Able to work independently and as a team.
  • Eager to work with young people in a non-profit setting.
  • 44 hours per week.
  • Shift and overnight duty required, candidates may be required to work on Saturdays, Sundays or Public Holidays.
