Job recruitment for the position of Project Officer – Youth Development

The Hong Kong Award for Young People (AYP), formerly known as The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award was established in 1961 as a local registered non-profit organization. AYP is committed to providing a non-formal education platform for young people to explore their full potential and make positive changes. Through training camp service, we provide the youth development programmes by providing outdoor training and experiential learning for young people to challenge themselves, discover their hidden abilities and gain a special sense of satisfaction and achievement. We are now looking for a passionate candidate to fill up the post of Project Officer – Youth Development.
Duties:
- Organize adventure training related activities for youth
- Oversee and monitor designated projects & activities to achieve KPIs
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders including funders, partners, schools and NGOs to ensure successful delivery and achieve KPI
- Provide logistic support for programmes and events
- Support various functions for the projects such as meetings, events arrangement & publicity, trainings & seminars to facilitate smooth delivery of the projects
- To design project rundown, questionnaires and evaluation forms in conjunction with internal and external parties
- To perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor
- May be required to have shift and overnight duty
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Sports Science, Physical Education, Recreation and Leisure Management, or other related disciplines.
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience in organizing youth or outdoor adventure programs is preferred
- Valid sports and adventure coaching qualifications are preferred
- Valid water sports qualifications are preferred
- Valid First Aid Certificate is preferred
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and as a team
- Eager to work with young people in a non-profit setting
- 44 shift hours per week
Candidates may be required to work on Saturday, Sundays or Public Holidays.
