CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (Ref. CEO/25/1)
AYP is a programme about challenge, perseverance, enterprise and achievement. It fills the gap left by formal education and encourages young people to achieve whole person development through a unique appreciation system recognized by the society. The Award Scheme is now looking for a high calibre professional to assume the position of Chief Executive Officer.
Key responsibilities:
- To be responsible and report directly to the Award Council which is one of the committees under the purview of the Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs. All Members are appointed by the Chief Executive who has delegated the power to the Secretary of Home and Youth Affairs.
- To formulate, implement and review the policies, strategies, financial & budget plans in support of the operation and development of the Organization
- To oversee and ensure the effective administration of an operation and financial control system
- To inspire and lead the Organization in achieving continuous improvement and service enhancement / upgrading as well as the development of new synergy and innovative initiatives
- To maintain liaison and good relationship with local government bodies, members of International Award Association, NGOs and other stakeholders for effective collaboration and service development of the Organization
Candidate should:
- possess a recognized university degree or above, preferably with post-graduate training in management of social work administration
- have a minimum of 10 years of managerial experience in a sizable NGO or school including 5 years at the senior level
- experienced in the field of youth service and development will be an advantage
- demonstrate strong competencies in strategic planning, communication, interpersonal relationship and leadership skill with the ability to handle complex issues tactfully in a fast-changing environment
- be proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese with Putonghua preferable
