Co-organised by AYP, the Civil Aviation University of China and the Hong Kong International Aviation Academy, and sponsored by Grace Yu Ho Wun Youth Development Fund, the “Fly My Way Exchange Programme 2023” was successfully held from 27 June to 5 July 2023. AYP was honoured to have Miss Alice Mak Mei Kuen, SBS, JP, Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs to be our Guest of Honour in the send-off ceremony. The objective of the event is for participants to apply their acquired knowledge and skills to demonstrate their talents in the aviation industry, thereby promoting the development of aviation in both Tianjin and Hong Kong.
In the 9-day trip, 25 participants from Hong Kong and China visited Aviation Services Research Centre@PolyU, Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited, Civil Aviation Department Headquarters, and the apron and the Backup Air Traffic Control Complex@HK International Airport. They also experienced a flight simulator at the Hong Kong International Aviation Academy. Then they travelled to China and visited Civil Aviation University of China in Tianjin and Beijing Daxing International Airport, gained a comprehensive understanding of the operations of different positions at the airport.
