17/10/2015 The Hong Kong Award for Young People (AYP) and the Award Network were delighted to be part of the “Uniformed Groups cum Youth Development Day 2015”, joint organised by the Home Affairs Bureau of HKSAR Government, 14 local uniformed groups and three youth organizations in Hong Kong on 17 Oct 2015. We set up game booths and exhibition to promote public understanding to youth organisations through interactive means. As a number of participating organisations are members of AYP Family, we took this opportunity to promote Award Network recruit new members. We also invited the public to make use of our photo props with the logo of Award Network on, for capturing the young and stylish moments, and for enhancing promotional and publicity effects. 19 April 2015 “Tofu Fa” Cycling FUNday was successfully held on 19 April 2015. Award Network bikers visited border territory for the second time since last year. We tasted the famous Chinese dessert-Tofu Fa and enjoyed beautiful natural view. We held two pre-trips beforehand to ensure the event runs smoothly. On the event day, some helpers were assigned to rent and transport bikes at Fo Tan and the others gathered participants at start point, Sheung Shui. Together 30 AYPers rode their bikes across Northern part of New Territories. Special appreciation to the Award Network members who organized the event! Last but not least, thanks all members’ active participation, and look forward to our next great cycling event soon. Event Photos>>

7 – 8 March 2015 SUNRise FUNday, held on 7-8 March 2015, was the first hiking event organised by the Award Network. This time, we visited the famous sunrise watching spot – Lantau Peak. Due to the unstable weather and the relatively challenging route, we were worried about the participation rate. It was quite a thrill when we realised that enrollment was much better than we expected. All participants arrived at the youth hostel in Ngong Ping on 7 March and enjoyed a rich hotpot dinner together. In the very early morning of 8 March, our journey kicked off when the sky was still dark with thick fog. Yet, all participants did not let down by the unfavourable weather. With the stern support and encouragement from teammates, everyone was cheered up by each other on their way up to the Lantau Peak. At the peak, the visibility was very low and the sun was lying lazily inside the cloud when we arrived, but it had not hided away the joy and excitment of the participants. Everybody shared snacks with teammates and took photos and selfies around. Looking at the happy and smiling faces, we being Members of the Organising Group…
