Job recruitment for the position of Assistant Manager (ARSOII) – Youth Development Program and Training, Camp Service

The Hong Kong Award for Young People (AYP), formerly known as The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award was established in 1961 as a local registered non-profit organization. AYP is committed to providing a non-formal education platform for young people to explore their full potential and make positive changes.
Through training camp service, we provide the youth development programmes by providing outdoor training and experiential learning for young people to challenge themselves, discover their hidden abilities and gain a special sense of satisfaction and achievement.
We are now looking for a passionate candidate to fill up the post of Assistant Manager (ARSOII) – Youth Development Program and Training, Camp Service.
Duties:
- To assist the Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Camp Manager on program and training operations
- Responsible to lead and manage the program team and deliver the utmost positive experience for the campers
- Keep abreast of the market trend on program design, promotion and program equipment management
- To supervise and manage the full time and part time Officers and Trainers and ensure the best efficiency and performance
- To assist facilities and bookings team on facilities management and maintenance
- Liaise and co-operate with the stakeholders
- Shift and overnight duty required
Requirements:
- (1)A full-time teacher’s certificate with physical education as one of the subjects, or equivalent; or
- (2)A post-secondary qualification in management of recreation and sports from one of the following, or equivalent
- Accredited Associate Degree from a Hong Kong tertiary institution; or
- Higher Diploma from a Hong Kong polytechnic/polytechnic university or Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education;
- Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent
- Possess relevant high and low event Challenge Course Technical Certificates are preferred
- Experience in leading and organizing youth and children training activities will be an advantage.
- Preference will be given to candidates with relevant skills and knowledge on Recreation Management and Facilities Management
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and as a team
- Eager to work with young people in a non-profit setting
- 44 shift hours per week
- Candidates may be required to work on Saturday, Sundays or Public Holidays
